Meet Robert Cavin

Bob was born and raised in Detroit, MI.  From a young age his parents taught him what it meant to be successful by developing leadership skills through mentors and in receiving training to become an entrepreneur through Junior Achievement.  Bob quickly excelled in this area becoming President of his Junior Achievement Chapter in Detroit during his Junior and Senior Years in high school.
Bob continued his education acquiring a Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Systems Economics and Management with a minor in Marketing from Michigan State University.  In addition to earning a degree from MSU, Bob received Certificate of Completion in Leadership Development and Studies from Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and taught in the Student Life and Leadership Academy at Lansing Community College for several years.
Bob has an extensive work career ranging from working several years in higher education at community colleges and at the university level to working for corporate headquarters at Best Buy, Sears and more recently BIGGBY Coffee in Retail Facilities Management, Operations and Training Departments.
Currently, Bob is employed as a Project Engineer with C70 Builders Inc, a nationwide General Contractor.  Also, Bob is Executive Director/Founder of Seize The Moments Inc, a 501C3, tax exempt nonprofit organization that specializes in working with young men (18 & up) to help reduce high school dropout rates, (gun violence, homicide, incarceration & suicide rates) & teen fatherhood. Additionally, the process & resources that we will utilize are through community & faith based organizations for supportive services.  Furthermore, we will work with workforce development organizations, community colleges, (vocational & technical schools), apprenticeship programs & four year universities with applications & curriculums that will consist of entrepreneurial training, leadership development, construction, facilities, project & retail management. 
Bob is married to Fonda Turner-Cavin, they have six adult children and three grandsons.  They have enjoyed living in the Lansing Region for over 30 years and they have been residents of Delta Township for over 20 years. Currently, they are residents of Delhi Township & they have resided in Holt, MI for the past 2 years.
